And can you please tell me my chances. No sugar coating

My EC's are

2. Helped in organizing a national charity event.
3. Head of a team responsible for fund management in a foreign NGO
4. Assistant manager and participant in a program with schuitema

My work experience is book keeping and occasional waiter at my family friends resturant.

I got in western 14 days after i uploaded my grades. This AEO thing is killing me.

University of Toronto/Rotman Commerce Acceptances?

Anonymous
2 replies • Last reply: 7:03AM March 04, 2015 UTC by Anonymous
Hi there,

I am a grade 12 student from BC (105D) and i was wondering if anyone here (im sure there is) got accepted to Rotman? Please list your average and the date you applied.

Also, could anyone chance me? I applied in mid February and have been waiting every since (my application status is under review).

My top 4 courses are:

Pre calc 12 : 86% (got 94% on my second try, but unfortunately Rotman does not look at second attempts)

English 12 : 90%

History 12: 97%

Economics 12: 91%

Average: 91.0% (its on the low side.)

I would say that I had a pretty strong supplemental (various leadership activities). Since UT gives out admission offers to 105 applicants on a rolling basis, does any of you know how long does it take to receive an offer?

Thanks in advance! (sorry its lengthy.)

Hey everyone!

I saw this thread last year and thought it was worth while to do! For anyone applying to 4 or 2 year programs.

1. Which school(s) are you applying to?
2. What other programs are you applying to as your back up?
3. What average are you aiming for your final year?
EXTRA - I want current Nursing students to be included as well! Tell us where you go, where you applied to and what your GPA in Grade 12 was or post secondary if thats what your doing right now. Also, a few pointers, tips and guidance is always great!

1. I want to go to McMaster (4 year), Queens (4 year or 2 year), Western (2 year), UofT
2. Nursing, and nothing else!
3. I had mid 80's in high school and currently have a 3.1 from Uoft B.A second year

So common guys, reveal yourselves! ;)

Hey, I am awaiting a response from McGill as I applied for Arts a little earlier on. My average is only 87% and I'm pretty worried. Has anyone heard back for Arts, or is anybody the same situation as me? What is your average? /:

Has anyone taken any TDSB E-Summer School classes?

So I'll be going to grade 12 next year and I'll probably go for a science program at university so I'll have a pretty heavy workload next year. I want to get English over with so I'm thinking of taking it in the summer. Should I take ENG4U online during e-summer school or just regular summer school? E-summer school sounds more convenient but will universities prefer someone who took it in regular summer school?

An "Update" on Admissions to Uoft Engineering

Just letting you guys know that I emailed an admissions person at Uoft and they said that offers will be given out on a rolling basis. I don't think they've done this in previous years…so yeah.

Do with this information what you will. Remember that this means that not all offers will come out on the same day. If someone gets in before you do, just keep checking your email every day!

I plan to take one of these in day school next year, has anyone tried both or even one? And if so, how was your experience? I'm looking to pursue the option with lesser work load and obviously the one that's easier.

McMaster Business I admission question!

Anonymous
0 replies • Posted: 7:03AM March 04, 2015 UTC
Hi!

I applied to McMaster Business 1 and here are my marks:

Law - 95
English - 85
Pre-Calc - 67 (OUCH)
Foods - 96
Chemistry - 74 (OUCH)
Computer Science - 95

Since I'm a grade 12 student coming out of Saskatchewan, I'm assuming they'll take my top 5 marks including pre-reqs which brings my average to 87.4%. I know it's not as good as it could have been, but I was just wondering will this be considered a good enough average? Do they use Foods as a class for the average?

I also applied to Western University Management and Organizational Studies (BMOS) so if anyone has input on that I'd really appreciate it :)

Thanks!!

U of T said I needed to maintain my grades or else they will withdraw their offer. If i had 92% for first term, would a drop within 5% be ok?

So I've been accepted to UofT's social sciences and while I am happy, I would like to hear your opinion (i.e. pros and cons) regarding UofT. As for cons, please give me reasons other than 'it's soo hard'

Also, how's st mikes? Do students from st mike face some sort of discrimination because they belong to a 'party' school? Would the atmosphere pose some put pressure on students who aren't necessarily party-goers?

UBC Self Reporting? English and exams marks..

1 reply • Last reply: 7:03AM March 04, 2015 UTC by Anonymous
Hi, I'm a bit new to Yconic as this is my first forum post. But what I would like know more of is about UBC's self reporting process, and in my case what that would entail if I were to take the English 12 provincial again a second time for a better mark.

I took english 12 in my first semester and finished with 91%. I took the provincial exam and I am still awaiting my mark but I fear that my mark will be terribly low. I have applied already for UBC and Self reporting started, but apparently you need to enter your provincial mark and your class mark for english if you wish to submit it for approval. In my case I know I will likely retake the provincial exam for a better mark. What do I do?

Submit my english mark as an interim mark? or not submit it at all? Or do I just have to face the fact that I will have to submit my possible god awful exam mark?
