BBA? BComm? WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?

A photo of melissazhang melissazhang
I'm so confused! They're both business degrees. And what's the difference if I'm in the BBA program in Laurier or Schulich? I end up with the same degree, is it just the university that I attended that makes it different?

In Ryerson,UofT and Queens it's BComm, does that mean they cover different material than in a BBA program?

More often than not, it's just naming convention. Individual programs will offer different specializations and be better at teaching in some areas than others, but I don't think it's accurate to judge the program based on the name of the degree it hands out. Ultimately, the name of the degree doesn't hold an awful amount of weight. You should be more concerned with the actual quality and classes of each program.
