yconic is the place where you can give and get the help you need for your life as a student. To help keep our community an enjoyable, helpful and safe place for all members, please adhere to the following guidelines.
1. Be nice to people. It's okay to provide constructive criticism, but there is no need to insult other members. For example, "X major is over-saturated right now. You might have trouble finding a job" is fine. "Your major is dumb. Have fun working in fast food," is not helpful nor appropriate.
2. Ask actual questions. If you're looking for help with something, titling a thread "HELP, I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO" isn't going to appeal to the members that may be best suited to help you. Be specific and title your post with relevant information.
3. Don't abuse the anonymous feature by pretending to be multiple people. Surprise, surprise, we know who posts what :)
4. Please only tag relevant interests when you create a new thread. Adding unrelated interests is unlikely to get you the help you're looking for and can frustrate other members.
5. Avoid spamming. This includes replying to your own thread for the sole purpose of moving it up the discussion feed.
6. Don't expose other people's personal information. If someone is posting anonymously, please respect their privacy.
7. If you see something you don't like, click the 'Report' button in the post menu and a moderator will review it. Please avoid commenting on inappropriate posts as this only encourages them.
8. Did a post help you? Click the "Was this post helpful?" button to help us recognize our most helpful members and so that other people will know the response was...you guessed it, helpful!
If you do not respect our guidelines, you may be temporarily or permanently banned from the yconic community.

b) improve athletics by means of make ppl watch games and support their teams and if the teams win its even better for the school spirit
c) the school needs to have a variety of good school clothing, because it defs improves the spirit when you see someone walking down the street wearing a shirt promoting your uni.. yea but is has to be decent clothing
Not only should you encourage the best sport at school but encourage ALL sports!
At my school this year we started to advertise volleyball and basketball, not just football. The teams began improving and that increased school spirit all around.
Have face painting at the beginning of the day or turn the game into a huge barbeque to maybe help fund some new school spirit or equipment
My school has Spirit Weeks where every day has a different theme. For example, we had a salad dressing week.. Ranch - everyone dressed up as cowboys and cowgirls. House Salad - dress in your school colours. Thousand Island - dress up in Hawaiian attire. Greek - dress in togas and sandals.
My school sells shirts   with our school logo, and then they can be used as tickets to get into sporting events or other activities. It saves the student's money and promotes school spirit.

I'd suggest fencing too. I'm working on introducing this beautiful sport at college. It is so much fun and develop great qualities, not just physical. It helps you stay focused and develops your ability to think fast and make rational decisions.
My school had a few years where the school spirit was very minimal, what are school did to improve it was have a day (usually friday) dress up in all plaid, like an old person, wear school colors, wear neon colors, just fun stuff like that, they'd put their name into a ballot and at the end of the year, the person that did these things got drawed and won for example at our school an I-pod touch. It really boosted school spirit, also we sold school clothing and it is really a hit too. If you have a committee to work on school spirit, it workd a lot better, get some student feedback too, ask them what they would like to see, it makes people feel better about their school when they feel included in these things.
my school is going to try to put together a lip-dub.
you can look them up on youtube.com if you're not sure what that is.
it's really fun and can help show your community how much spirit you have if you get it out there that you've made one :)
Just show how much you love the school and others might see how great it is also. I know that if we have a great energetic leader alot of people like to get involved.
