Statistics and Actuarial science at Waterloo

I was wondering if this is a good major to choose at waterloo. I heard that there are many job opportunities after graduating but it requires a strong mathematical background. What is the average acceptence grade? and for those who are in or were in this program- what are you opinions about it?

Any help would be appreciated
thanks

You would apply for Math at Waterloo. You could specialize in either Statistics or Actuarial Science in your upper years (Year 2 and beyond). If you'd like, it's possible to specialize in both Stats and Act Sci.

If you just want to apply to Math, you will need a mid 80 to get in, it's not too difficult.
