I was just ranking undergrade commerce programs, not HBA, BBA, or out of province. Those schools that I ranked were strictly commerce programs. But obviously Ivey and Shulich are the best undergrad

Why does it matter if it's commerce or not? It doesn't make a difference in Canada. Even if you were to go international, I doubt they would prefer one over the other.

It doesn't. Ivey is proof of that.

Troll, but if anyone was wondering the actual name of the program is largely due to the school/program's history, and nothing more.

I don't understand, what's the point of ranking these schools? They are all so subjective, are you Maclean's or something? Ivey should be first, then Queen's then Schulich and then Rotman. I know I just contradicted myself, but those schools have been discussed a lot and we know them inside out so it's common sense.

Guelph is actually very highly regarded for Hotel/Tourism/Food Administration only. They have grads at some of the top hotel and restaurant chains in the world. So if you are interested in working in the food, hotel or tourism industry, Guelph is actually one of the top schools. For regular business, though, I'll agree that Guelph is pretty low on the list.

I posted this in a different thread awhile ago. All praise goes towards IanSharer.

Disregard all these stupid lists and tiers and do the following:

1) Ask yourself what fields you're most likely going to pursue

2) Check if top firms recruit from the school

3) Check out the alumni base in those fields at that school

This, and also ask "will I enjoy myself here?"

If you really want to have tiers, make them yourself, because it is you who will be choosing.

Why is Queen`s commerce always ranked first - what`s so good about itÉ I`m not trying to insult it or anything, but why is it better than other schools
Just wondering. Well, actually, more than wondering because it`s one of my choices.
