Chances for Acceptance at QC, Ivey, Desautels

A photo of maynards maynards
Hi everyone,

my predicted top 6 average is 92.

I have the following notable ECs:

Founder of Key Club and Chess club at my school
Numerous Executive positions at my church
eBay business for 2+ years self-initiated and made $3000+ in revenue
300+ volunteer hours

Can anyone give me an idea if I will make it into these programs?

Are my ECs considered below average, average, or above average?

Thanks!

You'll get into Ivey, not sure about Queen's tho cuz they're pretty picky about ECs, but yours are definitely amazing!

Since ur predicted average is 92, its a little worrying since the minimum average for desautels is 92%. If ur below 92, they wouldn't even evaluate your application. For Mcgill, if you have an average of 94+, then its pretty much guaranteed.

thanks, that was really helpful.

So if I bump my average to a 94 i'm automatically in Desautels? they don't even look at ECs?

Yeh, if you have a 94, then pretty much you'll get in. With that being said, we all know the higher the mark the better right hah :)

and Mcgill does not look at your ECs, except when your applying for scholarships.

Im applying there as well, so good luck to both of us ;)
