Tough choice between Ivey/Stern/QC but I dislike Ivey for the 2+2 program, Stern's too expensive :P

Ye man I included you already :) Solid choice.

@imback

That's a better choice.. the preprogram isn't that good from what I've heard. All the best!

Thanks!

Ya, I am still waiting on Ivey but even if they gave me an acceptance I'd still go for Queens. I dont like the 2+2 system, and I got a better feel from the Queens campus. QC for me!

How are you planning to pay for Ivey? What's the breakdown for you financially if you don't mind me asking? Like how much are you getting for OSAP, bursaries and etc.?

What are you taking for the first two years? If you're doing BMOS or Econ, you guys aren't allowed to use the recruitment opportunities of Ivey right.. so how do you network and stuff?

I was planning to go McGill Commerce and then transfer to Ivey.. because I'll have a network at both schools? Do you recommend me doing that?

Also are you at a disadvantage if you are coming to Ivey 3rd year from another school?

At Ivey you have a lot of clubs and stuff.. like let's say the Ivey Investment Club. Uhm so if you're not a member by your AEO 1 year and don't know the execs.. it'll be kind of impossible to come from another school to get an exec position by at least fourth year right?

Are the Clubs like "investment club" "marketing club" under Ivey or UWO in general? If it's under Ivey.. doesn't everyone in 3rd year have a fair chance of getting exec positions?

Sorry for the gazillion questions.

1. a combination of help from my parents and savings for thirds year. probably a 50/50 contribution I'll have around 10 grand by the beginning of third year. and for fourth year parents/savings/loans. Ivey stresses that they don't want you not to come just due to finances and the BMO loan is supposed to be good.

2.I'm in BMOS its ok would have rather done econ though, not that it matters. I network through clubs and stuff just the basics most clubs have events to TO/NYC where you can network with some people in the industry

3. A few people who did investment club Exec for next year were from Schuilich (sp). I would say it'll probably hard to find people to live with for third year and find a place. But it shouldn't be hard to meet people sections are supposed to be very tight nit.

4. No

5. there are western clubs Investment/capital market and then there are ivey clubs. I was a part of both WIC and WCM this year there is lots of opportunity to get involved with them and they both have spots for first year exec as well WIC has analysts and researchers. at Ivey they have there own clubs that start third year but i'm not sure how they are run

Sorry if i missed anything and for my spelling etc, my brain has turned to mush from studying today. Feel free to ask some more if you have any
