Competition for top B-Schools higher than ever this year?

A photo of superdupercool superdupercool
Is it just me or are a lot of people applying to business schools? Especially the top ones; many discussions about universities in my school are loaded with "Ivey, Queen's, Schulich" etc..

Of course it could be due to my ignorance and lack of understanding. Word of mouth of current grade 12 students is not exactly reliable. From what I have heard, students with low averages were admitted to the top schools (85% to Ivey and 89% to Schulich and such). Does this mean that admissions will be harder to come by and cut-offs/expectations are increased?

I don't get your logic, here. If the cutoff is low, then that means more people get in.
