A photo of iRamie iRamie
I've noticed people posting that they got rejected from Waterloo and posting various reasons. But no one mentioned grade 11 marks being a factor?

If it is, im actually gunna go kill myself caz i screwed up first semester -_-

i raged for a few hours after being rejected but then i talked to some friends and realized that mcmaster (for myself personally) would probably be the best fit for me as opposed to waterloo.. i should be kinda happy that i got rejected to be honest lol

I'm going to let you in on a little secret: your grade 11 marks don't mean s**t. The only time they'll be considered is for early admission, but that's really not a big deal. Chatmike's right, there are plenty of great places to do computer science in Canada (and even more in the states), not getting into Waterloo isn't the end of the world. You say you have prior programming experience? That's good, start training for the senior computer science competition if you want to be noticed by Waterloo. Also, make sure the person supposed to sign you up for the contest isn't a complete flake - three years I've asked my compsci teacher to sign up for it and three years he hasn't. (I'll just have to try hard for the ACM ICPC ;D)

Also lol @ chatmike's analysis, seems spot on.
