Hey,

On the UWO 2011 First-Year Calendar, it says that "After first year, students in MOS may enter a BMOS SPECIALIZATION if they earned a 65% cumulative average." But on the http://mos.uwo.ca/NewModules/Specializations.asp, it says that
Admission Requirements
Students may not apply to enter a BMOS SPECIALIZATION when they apply for admission to the University.

After first, second or third year, to enter a BMOS SPECIALIZATION students must have

a) achieved an overall average of 70% on the last 5.0 courses;
b) a cumulative average of 65%

I'm really confused!!!!! So what is the requirement for a first year MOS student to apply to BMOS? 65 % or 70%?

Thank you

The general rule is to call the registrar's office or a BMOS/Social Sci academic counsellor and ask.

Other than that, when in doubt, use the newest information.

If you go to page 42 of your first year calendar then it's explained much more clearly:

After first year, students in MOS may enter a BMOS SPECIALIZATION if they earned a 65% cumulative average. Students in other programs may enter a BMOS SPECIALIZATION, if they have:
a) achieved an overall average of 70% on the last 5.0 courses;
b) a cumulative average of 65%

Strive for a 70% average, regardless.
