Grade 11?

There aren't many scholarships for grade 11 students. Most are awarded to grade 12 students who will be entering university in the following year.

It's great that you're starting to think about this so early since grade 11 is a really important year for scholarship preparation. A lot of scholarship commitees will look at marks and ECs for both grades 11 and 12 (some even look at 9 and 10), so doing your best in school is really important. Also, try to focus on your extracurriculars that you really enjoy, and if possible become a leader.

These are just some general suggestions, but each scholarship has different criteria. If you have any idea about which universities you're interested in applying to, check out their websites and see what they offer in entrance scholarships.

Not really anything. I seem to recall the U of A gave slightly more money for one of their scholarships if you applied in grade 11. But you can start looking for ones to apply for in grade 12.

Try the Ayn Rand Essay Contests :) They range from grade 10 to university/college students. It is also a great way of improving essay writing skills.
