How do universities consider fifth year?

A photo of Anonymous Anonymous
I have all my credits to graduate but I decided that I want to take a ComSci program, however I don't have the courses to apply to the universities I want to so I'm thinking of coming back for a 5th year to take them while working as well. Will I be penalized if I do this?

You won't be penalized at all.
Just make sure you get awesome marks.

no penalty at all, even for UW and UofT engineering. you may be penalized if you repeat courses, but not for doing a 5th year.
