Degroote students were bashing Brock's business program and now that people began comparing Degroote to other programs such as Ivey and Schulich, they say that they are only trying to help people.

If you ACTUALLY read the thread. No DeGroote student brought up ANY other schools while comparing with Brock. They simply claimed that DeGroote was the clearly better option compared to Brock BBA. Which is true.

It's actually the OTHER way around when people started getting defensive and brought in Ivey & Schulich.

"clearly the better option", and you're posting from personal experience? Let me guess, you go to Mac, but you know all about Brock. Two lame schools, but co-op makes the difference.

Yes, I actually am posting from my personal experience. I have friends in Brock and I go to DeGroote myself. I've seen firsthand the work load and opportunities @ mac. And also witness my friend's work load and Brock events.

How about you? I'm guessing you are a high school student talking based on what your high school guidance lectured you about co-op? McMaster have internship and there are previous comments telling you the pros and cons of each. Go check them out.

You make co-op sound like it's the only thing that matters in a program. Rotman doesnt have coop, so I guess Brock BBA is miles ahead right? What do you define by a lame school? McMaster, Canada's 4th best overall Canadian university with a reputable business school is lame? Brock, with one of the best BAcc in Canada is lame? No, it seems like you're the lame insecure high schooler here buddy.

Both programs can get you to the same destination if you possess the personal traits required. Doesn't matter if you go to Schulich, Ryerson, or Guelph. Also, I've been accepted to both while I was in gr.12. & I chose DeGroote because I believe it is the obviously better option which can help me reach the same destination easier than Brock. And so far I don't feel like I've made the wrong decision.

Seeing as how all the Degroote posts have 2 likes each, I'm guessing that either one person is posting from two different laptops, or two people are really trying hard to get their point, I mean experience, across.

LOL wth, do you really think anyone is that desperate or has that kind of time? Ultimately it's the high schoolers' decision as to where they want to go, nobody can MAKE anyone go anywhere, and you're making it sound as though DeGroote students are going to cry if people don't come to their school. And if this is the case, I can say the same about the Brock students or the Schulich students who have likes on their posts as well, are they posting from two different laptops to get their point across too?

Lol this reminded me of something I found on a website once. Thought it was funny so I'll share.

"HOW MANY UNIVERSITY STUDENTS DOES IT TAKE TO CHANGE A LIGHT BULB?
 Q) How many Queen's students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A) ONE, but it never really gets done. He holds the bulb up and waits for the world to revolve around him.

 Q) How many Ryerson students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A) Haha,..trick question - Ryerson isn't a real university!

Q) How many Lakehead students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A) None. Thunder Bay doesn't have electricity, remember?

 Q) How many U of T students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A) TWO. One to change the lightbulb and one to crack under the pressure.

 Q) How many Algonquin students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A) Only ONE. But he gets 6 credits for it.

 Q) How many Laurentian students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A) None. Sudbury looks better in the dark.

 Q) How many Waterloo students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A) FIVE. One to design a nuclear-powered one that never needs changing, one to figure out how to power the rest of Waterloo using that nuclear-lightbulb, two to install it, and one to write the computer program that controls the wall switch.

Q) How many Western students does it to change a lightbulb?
A) FIVE. One to change the lightbulb and four to find the perfect JCREW outfit to wear for the occasion.

 Q) How many McMaster students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A) TWO. One to change the bulb and the other to say loudly how he did it as well as any Queen's student.

 Q) How many Carleton students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A) TWO. One to change the bulb and one to complain about how, if they were at a better school, the lightbulb wouldn't go out.

 Q) How many McGill students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A) ONE. But SHE can't do it on Friday night.

 Q) How many Brock students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A) SEVEN. One to change the bulb and six to throw a party because he didn't screw it in upside down this time.

 Q) How many Guelph students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A) SEVEN. One to screw it in and 6 to figure out how to power it on manure. (ouch!)

 Q) How many Mt.Allison students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A) FIVE. One to do it and 4 to be in the Macleans photo of it.

 Q) How many UVic students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A) None. Llava lamps don't burn out man!

 Q) How many UBC students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A) FOUR. One to do it and three to translate the instructions.

 Q) How many Laurier students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A) All of them. They make it a campus affair.

 Q) How many University of Manitoba students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A) Ummmmm,...huh? There's a university in Manitoba?

 Q) How many York University students does it take to change a lightbulb?
A) THREE. One to take directions from the science student, the science student and one to philosophise about life as a lightbulb.

 Q) How many University of Ottawa students does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
A) ONE. She <s>screws</s> everything why not a light bulb?

The more I read from this thread the more I realize how stupid McMaster students are. If you think McDumpster University has any shred of reputation then you're dumber than a Ryerson student. Hell, even Ryerson students know their place.. perhaps they are of higher intelligence than McDumpster kids.

^ lol this guy's probably bitter that he got rejected by Mac

Why would someone be upset if they get rejected by a second tier b.school?

It's a safety for those applying to Queens/Ivey/Schulich

Jason Kean you've been in and out of this thread quite a bit LOL, you really catching feels over DeGroote student's positive personal experiences? Stop tryna increase your lacking self esteem with generic comments that contains no purpose and personal experience.

Seems its the Mac students talking smack.

Face it, if you would have studied harder in highschool, you would not have chosen Mac. Big time safety.

Fact is, chief, my experience is miles ahead of the best DeGroote's student experience because I go to a top school b.school, not a safety.

^^ Lol, I'm actually done. There was already a similar comment earlier with responses already. This is like an endless idiotic cycle of rephrasing comments.

There are no business schools in canada that are miles ahead of degroote.

Yet you still keep on responding, I guess you are sad that I keep on bruising your ego.

And lol @ "This is an endless cycle of rephrasing comments". I mean come on, that's a tad bit a ironic coming from you, no?

Hun if you're in a "top b-school" then why are you catching feels over this thread? How is any of this relevant to you in any way? It looks like this guy's trying to boost his ego really badly. Get out of this thread if you have nothing meaningful to say, people here are trying to share their own experiences with those who are actually trying to make a decision based on facts, not what they've heard from some random guy who's trying really hard to bring other schools down to boost his self-esteem. It looks like you know nothing about these programs and you're talking out of your ass

If your egotistic self thinks going to a "miles ahead top public canadian business school" will get you to places that other canadian business schools can't, you're going to have a a bad time LOL. Sorry to burst your bubble, but there's no such thing in Canada, go to the states for your "top tier bschool". And judging from your comments and behavior, you definitely don't seem like the type to succeed no matter where you go. Let me guess how you got into a "miles ahead of everyone else" business school. Private school? Easy high school? Lol, sit down boy.

Was this helpful? Yes 3

The salt is real. It was clear that I was referring to Canadian b.schools. You would have to be an idiot to think that top Canadian schools can even compare to your average schools in the states. The difference in funding is way too big.

Are you really going to try and say that there is no difference in the opportunities at Ivey/Queens/Schulich/McGill vs Mac? You have to be delusional to believe that.

Guess the whole "One to change the bulb and the other to say loudly how he did it as well as any Queen's student" is true.
