Need some peace of Mind

The cutoff to my top program (psych at york) is 75%, my top 6 are 72,79,81,83,83,84 making my average 81 for midterm. However I do have a course this semester that is not part of my top 6, I need the credit but not the mark. The problem is that I am failing that course I just wanted to know whether that will deter york from accepting me, or if I'll get a conditional offer saying that I need to pass (because, well I am 6% above the cutoff). If anyone can shed some light on my situation that would be greatly appreciated!

Oh, so you need to take that course for your program? If it is not a pre-req but only recommended, you don't have to worry too much. Still, try to bump up the mark.

it's neither a pre-req nor is it recommended, my only pre-req is English which is at an 83% the failing mark is a bio course which I only need the credit for (it could be any other subject, even a grade 9 course but the school didn't let me transfer)

If it will not be a part of your top 6, I don't think you have to worry about a good mark, just pass.

sorry, just need one last piece of re-assurance i don't think I made it clear that even though the course is not a pre-req I do need the credit to graduate.
Thanks, all your help is greatly appreciated.
