Queens Commerce - questions for admission

A photo of Jason202 Jason202
i am aware that the minimum average required for
admission is 87%, and the PSE & Essays are REALLY important.
4500 people apply and there are only 450 seats @#$%^&*(

two questions:

is there anyone who got accepted with average of the top 6 below 90%?

how many seats did they give out so far ? ( estimate # / approx. )

-----------------------
my average is 89.5% at the moment and i applied to
Queens Commerce and Queens Arts and Sciences.
i applied to Arts and Sciences as a backup and to see if my PSE
is good enough. i got accepted to Art and Sciences in first week of march
so i believe my supplements are okay.

but im worried that my average may not be good enough for Commerce~
what do you guys think?

------------------------
okay this is how much love i have for Queens Commerce~
i would choose Queens Commerce over Schulich BBA/iBBA, U of T Rotman, McGill Commerce, western AEO status.

( not comparing them, since all of them are the best business schools in Canada )

If your marks are sufficient enough to meet the 87% cutoff, Queen's will than consider your application and look at your supplementary essays/forms. The program has emphasized several times that after one meets the cutoff, they will only look towards your supplementary essays/forms, but we applicants can never be sure. Many people have gotten in with a flat 90% or even lower, so don't worry about it so much.

I think that's because those people just tend to be naturally better writers...just a guess though, :P

As long as your PSE and ECs are fine, you stand a good chance. I got in a few weeks ago with an 89% average over my top 6, which to me proves marks don't really matter beyond the cutoff.
