Residence from OUAC question

A photo of Jordan23 Jordan23
When I apply for a program and it asks me to choose 'yes' or 'no' for "Residence Information Required," is this important in deciding if I get a residency spot? I ticked 'yes' for all my programs at all my universities (just in case), although I don't intend to stay on res for a couple of the ones I applied to. This shouldn't matter at all, should it? Do I need to change my answer to 'no' for the ones that I probably won't need residence for? BTW, I ticked 'yes' just to be safe, thinking that the actual applications for residence come after the offer anyways. It's fine, right?

No. I'm pretty sure it means what you think it means - the university will send you more information about residence. It's not a commitment.

It's not a commitment. You can still get into rez if you choose no, you just don't get the info from them.
