retaking grade 12 courses

A photo of StrawberryKio StrawberryKio
Hi I'm a grade 11 student going into grade 12 next year. I took math 12 this year and got 92% average.

I'm trying to get into UBC for sciences or commerce (or arts not sure yet)

My other grade 12 course marks this year are
English Lit 12: 93%
Bio 12 ap: 90%
Chem 12 ap: 90%

and next year I'm taking
Psychology ap
Calculus ap
Stats ap
English ap

So I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to retake math 12 during the summer to bump up my average for admission/scholarships?

Last day to sign up for summer school is today ><

I think it would be an incredible waste of time to retake a course you got above 90% in. Even 80% is stupid.

Like previous poster said, it's a waste of time.
You should probably spend the summer working instead.

I would say it's not worth the effort if your first attempt at the math course was a 92%. Retaking a course is tedious and will make you want to slack off more. Besides, if you don't get higher than 92% the second time for whatever reason, you've completely wasted your time. Some programs and scholarships don't even consider second attempts. You're better off taking another course instead.

If you're going to a school that doesn't take a 92 in Grade 12 math, they most likely wouldn't even bother looking at a second attempt mark in summer school.
