If you're going into finance, then Schulich or Laurier, with the edge to Schulich

Great connection to public accounting firms, extremely good co-op program that facilitates employment with those firms, and a plethora of networking events that are provided by the school

I'm curious about this too. Which one would people choose, AFM-FM or Schulich? I made a very stupid decision and didn't apply to the PA, however, i did get accepted into the FM and I got accepted into Schulich...where should i go?

I'd probably go Schulich over FM if I wanted to become a CA.

Is it worth going to Schulich and not getting the co-op opportunity from Waterloo?

Schulich you have an opportunity to get internships, you can get your 51 credit-hours within 4 years and Schulich gets very good recruitment for accounting jobs, especially Big 4.

Not that FM is bad, but IMO Schulich > AFM-FM (and much cheaper tuition)

Thanks...I will be definitely considering this when i make a choice! Another advantage of Schulich is that there tuition cost is no where to close to Waterloo's.... I could commute to Schulich but i would definitely have to live on campus for Waterloo ...I still wish i could back and apply to PA, oh well :(

Theres not much better if you wanna be an accountant, the opportunities in PA stream out weigh those at Schulich for accounting from what I can tell, you should try talking to some kids in both of the pograms.
