Science Schools with General First Years?

A photo of Anonymous Anonymous
Hi, I was wondering if there were any major universities in Ontario that have a general first/second year in their science programs (preferrably with co-op)? For example, a student applies to a Life Sciences or Physical Sciences program and chooses a specialization in second/third year as opposed to applying to a very specific program such as biochemistry or astrophysics. I know U of T does, but i really don't want to go there (I've heard from a variety of credible sources that you get treated like a number among the 50,000 students).

Thanks in advance :colors:

Waterloo?
but I think they make you pick right off the bat what program in Life Sciences you'd want to pursue.
But it is very easy to change programs two to three years in if you dislike what you're in..
maybe McMaster?
