A photo of gnr234 gnr234
Hello I am new to posting but I have been on the forums before and it seems like if I posted my marks and program choices someone could tell me if I should get in with what I have.

Here are my ouac choices (in order 1-greatest)

1. WBC University of Waterloo
Business Administration (WLU) and Computer Science (Waterloo) Double Degree (Co-op only)
2. WEB University of Waterloo

4. UB Wilfrid Laurier University
BBA Honours Business Administration
5. ED The University of Western Ontario
MN:Management & Organizational Studies
6. CCH Carleton University

And here are my marks (estimated and final e and f)

Now I should mention I have pretty solid ec's

Also the only other thing is that I submitted my supplementary appication for ufts just under a week late (from the 3 week deadline) but it also says there is a final deadline in march or april or something.

I also havent filled out the waterloo or laurier aif or supplemental info thing.

So how am I looking?

Okay so you don't think me sending my saf in late will hurt my chances?

Also thank you for the reply, do you think I will definitely get into at least one of these programs?

And no not ivey just normal bmos no aeo.

I would get it sent in ASAP, but it probably won't affect you.

I would say that you are pretty much guaranteed to get into one or two of those at least. You may be a little tight for Rotman but strong ECs will help, possibly for UTSC a little tight but again should be good. Laurier's cutoff is likely 86/87 maybe even 88 this year. 1-3% below the cutoff they will take a look at your ABS and you may get an offer. So have a well-written ABS and good ECs will help. I don't think you have any chance at the DD though. Western BMOS without Ivey isn't too hard to get into, and you should also get into Carleton. Good luck

Hi I was wondering if someone can tell me the probability of getting into the following 3 programs:
1) UTSC Non Coop Management
2) Ryerson Business Managment
3) York Adminstrative Studies

My marks roughly are:
Accounting: 85%
Environment: 85%
Advanced Functions: 60% (FINAL)
International Business: 87%
World Issues: 82%
English 75%
Business Leadership: 84%

I know my functions mark is horrible. I am taking data management in night school and calculas 2nd semester.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Which of those are U courses? (I know AF, Data and Calc and English).

If you can get one of Data or Calc 80 or higher, that would really help, especially for Ryerson.

Accounting: M
Environment: M
AF: U
International Business: M
World Issues: M
English: U
Business Leadership: M
Calculas: U
Data Management: U

This gives me 4 U courses and 5 M courses.
My top 6 average (excluding functions) is around 83%.

My University Application Rankings are:
1) UTSC non-coop management
2) Ryerson Business Management
3) York Administrative Studies

Could you please tell me my chances for getting into the 3 programs.
Thank you for your time!

Which of these are final and which are projected?

And if you are not taking any more U courses, than you will have to include AF in your top 6 as you would only have 4 U courses.

UTSC: ~80-85 + SAF is important
Ryerson: 77-82
York: not 100% sure, but from what I can find about 75-80

You: (2 M's and 4 U's)

International Business- 87
Acctng/Enviro- 85
AF- 60
English- 75
Total for those four: 307

Top 6 Average of 85, total needed: 510
Top 6 Average of 82.5, total needed: 495
Top 6 Average of 80, total needed: 480
Top 6 Average of 77.5, total needed: 465

Subtract your current four courses total from your desired top 6 average total, and that is what you need between Data and Calc.

Example: Want an 82.5 average: 495-307=188 this is what you need between Data and Calc, which would be average of 94 in each.

So if some of those marks aren't final, switch them around and see what you need to get in order to get your desired average.

Then compare that average to the ones listed. If you want to be safe, aim for the top end of the range. And remember there is supplementary apps so if you have good ECs and well written supps that will help (especially for UTSC, could make or break you).

Hope that helps.

Don't M courses also count in the top 6?
From what I heard its English plus top 5 U/M courses, not sure if it is true though.
All my marks are midterm marks except functions which is the only final mark I have at the moment.

My other question is UTSC requires AF and Calculas, I messed up functions but will they
count Calculas and Data management as my math requirements?

Thanks again for your help

Okay thanks for all the info, when do you think I should expect a reply from any of these schools.

Also note that I havent sent in my waterloo aif or laurier abs yet. But unless there is something else im missing (that you know of) then uft, western and carleton should have everything they need.

Max of 2 M courses. So AF would need to be used unless you are taking more U courses in second semester than just Calc/data.

And for UTSC I am fairly confident they will use AF if they require it, but you might want to e-mail the admissions office and find out for sure.

Probably not until April/May. Don't worry, it's just early acceptances right now based off of Grade 11 marks.
