Switching majors from commerce to mech. engineering

A photo of Bawwwwss Bawwwwss
I got accepted into the university of guelph for commerce. I want to switch into mechanical engineering. Although, I do not have the prerequisite courses such as chemistry, physics, and calculus. Will I need to victory lap or can I take these courses while I'm attending university? Any help is appreciated, thanks :)

The programs are entirely unrelated and you don't have the courses to get into engineering. I'm not sure you'd be able to transfer into the program once at university. Perhaps you should have planned a little better in high school? You're definitely going to need all those courses, calculus in particular.

If engineering is your dream, I recommend taking a year: take the courses you need, and apply for the program you want at the entry level.
