the "subject of major interest" ?

Hey guys,

I'm sure you've all seen this drop down box when applying on OUAC. Does this actually have any affect during the application process? Like if there is a huge disparity in interest, say everybody wants to do biochemistry, will they make that more competitive?

I've seen this box when applying to mcmaster life sci/health sci, waterloo life sci/honours sci, and western biomed...so I just want to make sure that filling it in with things that MIGHT be of interest to me won't hurt me during admissions!

No, it will not hurt you during admissions. They just want to know what you are applying for. Good luck!
