U of T residences vs. UWO residences

A photo of frowningcat frowningcat
Hey guys, so I'm basically torn between going to U of T or Western for the consecutive teaching program, and I feel that the quality of the residences will be a major deciding factor in my choice. I'm curious what people think about the residences at these two universities...even if you've only been to one, please let me know what you think about the residence you had experience with. Some pros and cons, the best of the residence buildings, university social life, etc.

haha, appreciate the enthusiasm Metroid. anything specific you can tell me about western/uoft? uoft would be in downtown toronto which is pretty cool, plus its fairly close to home (i live in Vaughan) so i can always visit on a whim. what makes western so good?

Frowningcat: One big reason why Western Res > UofT res is that UofT is a commuter school, while Western for the most part is not. So most first years at UWO actually LIVE in res, and most people at UofT do not. Also, when it comes time to move out, living in London is WAY cheaper than living in downtwon Toronto.
