Probs in the mid-high 80s. Aim high, competition for UBC will be rough this year.

+1

Do the supplemental app if your marks are close to the cut-off and/or you have good ECs.

Arts was 83% in 2007 (http://www.publicaffairs.ubc.ca/media/releases/2007/mr-07-076.html) but it has definitely climbed a bit since then. It's climbed in every faculty (http://ubyssey.ca/news/ubcs-cut-off-for-admissions-climbs/). For Arts, the UBC website gives an approximation of mid to high 80's (https://you.ubc.ca/ubc/counsellors/averages.ezc) at UBC Point Grey. Of course, it depends on the other people who apply. Definitely do the supplemental app if you're close to the cut-off.

If arts is your 1st choice the you must have 86 percent average however if arts is your second choice you need like 88

I'm still not doing the supplementals. My average is well-over the cut-off and my ECs are pretty meh.

UBC competition is ridiculous.

Last year I believe it was 86% if it was your first choice, and 88% if it was your second.

Stay >86 and you should be fine.

It's definitely in the high 80's.
Do the supplemental, you have nothing to lose.
If they don't admit you based on your marks, they may look at your supplemental and you may be admitted if you have some worthy ECs and other activities.
I know a lot of people who didn't have the marks to get in, but got in because of their supplemental.
