Volunteer position to increase acceptance chance?

A photo of rendition rendition
Hi, I am going to g12 this year and was wondering if there's any type of volunteering position that would increase the acceptance chance. The only types of volunteer jobs I've came across so far is filled with mundane basic tasks. Any recommendation would be greatly appreciated

For volunteering I always give people two pieces of advice:

1. Choose something that you will enjoy. Doing something just to pad a resume is not worth it.

2. Try to choose an activity (that you enjoy) that demonstrates the qualities that your program is interested in - whether that is teamwork, leadership, community service, etc.

Volunteering (EC's - extras curriculars) does not typically help with acceptance to University for Undergrad. That said, there are a few schools (Waterloo / Queens Eng) that have supplemental applications that do use your EC info to help your acceptance. Guess it depends on where you plan to apply.

EC's come into play for Major scholarship applications.

You should select and do EC's because you want to do them for your own reward.
