Voting in Elections

A photo of Anonymous Anonymous
I hope to get some good discussion with these questions.

Do you vote in elections? Why/why not?
Are there some elections you will vote in, while others you will not?
Do you only participate in one level of elections (e.g. federal elections, but not provincial)?
Do you feel committed and compelled to vote?
Should voting be compulsory and enforced under law?

Do you vote in elections? Why/why not?
No - I'm not of age.

Are there some elections you will vote in, while others you will not?
Not sure.

Should voting be compulsory and enforced under law?
No. If voting became compulsory, some people might make careless votes just so they won't get charged. They'd vote if they really cared about who gets elected.

I'm not interested in politics, but that will probably change in the future.

Do you vote in elections? Why/why not? No, I am not of age yet but I will be 18 in March. Once I'm 18 I will vote in elections.

Do you only participate in one level of elections (e.g. federal elections, but not provincial)? I would probably participate in more than one.
Do you feel committed and compelled to vote? Yes.
Should voting be compulsory and enforced under law? No, if someone does not want to vote that is their choice. But, if they complain about who was elected and they didn't vote then I don't think they should be saying anything considering they didn't vote.

Do you vote in elections? Why/why not? Not old enough, but I will be 18 this year. Once I am 18 I will vote in elections.
Are there some elections you will vote in, while others you will not? I intend to vote in any that I can.
Do you only participate in one level of elections (e.g. federal elections, but not provincial)? I intend on participating in all elections.
Do you feel committed and compelled to vote? Yes.
Should voting be compulsory and enforced under law? Unsure. There would be pros and cons to having voting compulsory. I don't think I can answer that right now.

I do not vote in elections because I am 16.

Do you feel committed and compelled to vote?
I'm looking forward to being able to vote in a few years. Then I will feel committed and compelled.

Should voting be compulsory and enforced under law?

Absolutely not.
