waterloo computer science vs. computer engineering

i need help deciding between computer science and computer engineering at waterloo. I hear that computer science is a little easier because it is more speciliazed, but computer engineering covers more, so it helps in the future. What is the big difference and which is better?

There's no "better" option. It depends where you want to go with your degree.

You might want to read this: 6 Degrees of Computer Science

And maybe consult the members of CompSci.ca

Hope that helps.

Computer science is more programming and deals with software. Examples are working with operating systems for phones or computers or making your own software like games and microsoft office.
Computer engineering has to do more with creating components for computers or other electronics. So if you want to make motherboards for computers or parts that are used in phones or other devices this is for you.

Hope this helps.

From what I have heard, Waterloo's best program is Computer Science.
