I know that only your grade 12 marks count towards the average they use to determine whether or not you'll be admitted but is it all of your grade 12 marks or just the ones from courses that are prerequisites for that particular program? For example, lets say you are applying for biochemistry for which the prerequisites are English, Advanced Functions and two sciences of your choice. Would they get the average they need from these marks or would all of your grade 12 marks contribute to it? Furthermore, if all grade 12 marks do contribute, how much does it matter if you have a 60% in one of the prerequisites but an overall average of 80%? Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated.

It depends on the university! Some will look at the prereq. courses and then the next highest grades, some will look at the top 6 only, some will look at BOTH, some will factor in how you did on grade 11 when they are deciding if they want to accept you. It's better if you contact the universities directly b/c they all vary depending on the school.
