First Year MedSci - ask me anything! :)

For some reason it says anonymous, but if you see Devon Anderson, that's me posting!

Hey everyone,

I'm currently at Western in my first year in medical sciences! Feel free to ask me anything about the program, and I'll try to help with anything else academic related.

I'm also living in residence, and I'm residence sophing next year, so feel free to ask me about that as well :)

I'm very involved with the school, so you can ask me about: SAO, residence life, volunteering on/off campus, clubs, council, resources at Western, Oweek...anything!
Western Residence - Ask Anything!
Hey everyone,

I thought I'd make a residence thread for any questions you may have about residence at Western! I am very involved with residence this year, and I will be a residence Soph and on council next year. Feel free to ask me about the meal plan, different styles, leadership opportunities, themed floors, whatever!
Res at Western: Opinions?

I've accepted my offer to Medical Sciences at Western (with SE) and was just wondering if anyone had any advice on residence. Right now I'm trying to decide between Ontario and Delaware for my top pick. I really love Ontario, but it's so far away from classes and Delaware's location is prime. Also, I like to party but I definitely would want to be able to study in the week and find some community-oriented people in res?

Is the distance a huge factor? Also I know Del is being renovated but there are no pictures of the interior. Just wondering what it was like before, and if anyone has any idea of what it is supposed to be like.

Just an overall idea of how I'm trying to compare: appearance, size/layout of rooms, community-feel, tradition/spirit, party, capable to study, food, distance, are communal washrooms really so bad, being able to find leadership people who also want balance?

Also if there are any other residences you think are best, let me know (and why haha!)

Thanks :)

Who applied and has anyone heard back from them yet? I heard that the admission decisions go out around this time...or have they already gone out!?

McGill Early Admission Offers??
Hi I think we're all here in the waiting game excited to hear back from McGill Uni and other schools we've applied to. I'm looking to get into their Life Sciences program...

If you get an offer, please be so kinda as to letting us know when you received an offer, for what program and your percentage.

This way, we can all go through this process together so best of luck! I hope everyone gets in :) And for those who got in, congrats!!

Western University Scholars' Electives
Hi all!

I am a Scholars' Electives student at Western University and a recipient of the W. S. Fyfe Faculty of Science National Scholarship. I am here to provide legitimate expertise on the Scholar related opportunities at Western.

I am available to answer any questions pertaining to Scholars' Electives and the program at Western University! More specifically, I am available to help polish your application, as well as, describe how Scholars' Electives allows for an undergrad student to conduct research with a prof, create a themed degree, apply for specialized scholarships, network with other prominent individuals in the community, etc. This is the place to ask any questions you may have.

Feel free to post. Let the forum begin!!
